What People Are Saying

We were running errands in the area and decided to find a spot for a late brunch. Google Maps suggested this place, so we dropped in. We didn’t expect a line at 1:30 PM, especially with five groups already ahead of us for a table of four. The cafe has heavy curtains at the front door to block the wind—a very smart move—though it makes it hard to see if there is a line inside. Luckily, they have benches where you can sit while you wait. We ordered a coffee and a hot chocolate during the wait; both were served in mugs instead of paper cups, and the hot chocolate even had a cute heart! The barista was skilled and energetic—it was great watching him craft coffee with such speed and care. After 20 minutes, we got a table. Our servers were friendly, chatty, and gave great recommendations. The blueberry pancakes were a hit; it seemed like every table had ordered them! The trout crêpe, smoked salmon classic breakfast, and the hamburgers were tasty and full of flavours. We loved everything we ordered and were so glad we came. The atmosphere felt welcoming, happy, and bright. We look forward to coming back.

The food is always good but the waitress today was totally RUDE… with so much so much attitude, it made us feel so uncomfortable… long hair in a pony tail with green eyes!

*response to owner* Please note as mentioned below. I asked the waitress to take it back as it wasn’t what I wanted to order anyway but all good! Don’t worry, although what you stated isn’t factually Correct (it would not be more labour to put LESS Chia pudding in the cup), and the Pictures prove it below, we totally know the dismissive nature of your replies for other people. We wanted to support your store as a small business as I believed wrongly that you understood the old Canadian Moto, but we all now realized that you don’t have the comprehension of understanding that that a little goes a long way… Wish you and your store all the best as it was a very good spot for a get together (emphasis on Was). I really hate leaving a bad review for this place but today’s experience was horrible. It left a very bad taste in our mouths and I am not sure if we will ever return. We were regulars to this place and it was our little tradition to come here every weekend. Today, we ordered a chia seed Pudding and asked for the toppings to be on the side because I don’t like granola. The waitress said no problem. When the plate came, she informed us AFTER giving us the food that she will charge us extra for asking to have the toppings on the side. This is extremely disappointing and horrible customer service. Not sure why this was not relayed to us prior to bringing out the food. I asked them if they’re worried about “extra granola” then to take it back as I ddnt event want this anyway. She said no, she will keep it there anyway. They had already given us “less Chia pudding” to take into account for the Space the granola was going to take anyway so the extra charge doesn’t make sense. It’s starting to feel like they have a “Quota per table” they want to meet or something. I always Tip extra and don’t mind in paying but I don’t appreciate in this deceitful behaviour. The chia seed pudding is already overpriced at $17 and we received less putting to account for the toppings and got charged on top extra. This is such deceitful business practice, please do better! Absolutely appalling and will not be returning to such a deceitful establishment.

Food is ok, nice ambiance. A tad pricey, price comparable to brunch places in downtown TO

In a word... perfection! I kept seeing this cafe pop up on social media, and as an Oakville resident and someone who used to live on Kerr Street myself, I decided to give it a try. I rarely go out to eat in my hometown, but from what I saw and read about the cafe, I was curious, and it was far better than I expected. I actually ate here twice, both times for brunch, and it was always busy, but the wait time wasn't long. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and friendly. The food was amazing. My favorite dish was the "BURGER," which, without a doubt, is the best burger I've had in a while. That and the Posh fries with parmesan were a perfect combo. The seasonal latte was superb, and the cappuccino latte was even better. The dishes I ate were well worth the price. And of course, kudos to the whole staff for making the cafe feel welcoming. Shout-out to my two main servers, Ciara B and Halle D, both of whom were kind and pleasant to talk to. If you're in the area and looking for a delicious meal, stop by this cafe; you won't regret it. 10/10!
