What's new

Until now there was one Chugli. Now you can talk to someone you made — as many besties as you want, each one built by you.

Give them a name, a personality and a face. Write a few lines the way they'd actually say them. They show up sounding like the person you had in mind, and they stay that person.

It takes about a minute. A name, a sentence about who they are, and a couple of lines in their voice. Look for "Talk to someone you made" on your home screen.

Build them the way you'd describe a friend

• Say it in plain words — "sarcastic gym buddy who never lets me skip leg day", "the cousin who tells me the truth about my ex". No forms, no sliders. Just describe them.
• Give them a few lines — Write two or three things they'd say. That's how they learn their rhythm, not their script. They'll say new things, in that voice.
• Pick their face — Choose from a ring of ready faces, or have one made for them. Either way they have a face before they have a first message.

They speak your language — not just yours

Every bestie gets their own language, set separately from yours. Your Punjabi bestie opens in Punjabi. Your English one opens in English. You can have both, at the same time, and neither drifts into the other.

You can also tell us whether they're a he or a she — because in Hindi and Punjabi the verbs change with the speaker, and a line written in the wrong form never quite sounds like a real person.

Keep all of them

Making someone new never touches anyone you already made. Every bestie you build stays yours, stays live, and keeps their own conversation — their own history, their own thread, exactly where you left it.

• Switch anytime — Tap the name at the top of the chat and pick who you want to talk to. You land straight in that conversation, not a fresh one.
• Nothing gets overwritten — Create your fourth bestie and your first three are untouched.
• Change your mind later — Remove someone and they're set aside, not destroyed. Bring them back whenever you want.

They warm up like a person does

Nobody's most honest on the first message. A new bestie starts a little reserved and opens up over your first several conversations — the way anyone does once they know you're staying.

And they hold their own line. If you push them somewhere they won't go, they say no in their own voice — not with a stiff notice that sounds like someone else took over the chat. They're still themselves, even when they're disagreeing with you.
