Who writes this, how it’s produced, and why it exists
Chugli.ai’s guidance and landing pages — on loneliness, breakup recovery, sleep, mood, journaling and diet, among other topics — are written by the Chugli team, the same people listed on our team page. They are not written or reviewed by a licensed therapist, doctor, dietitian or counsellor, and nothing on this site should be read as if they were. See “What Chugli is not” below.
We don’t publish under invented expert names or claim clinical credentials we don’t have. Where a page carries a byline, it reads “Written by the Chugli team” and links back to this page — never to a fabricated author or reviewer.
Two different kinds of pages live on this site, made two different ways, and we want to be plain about which is which.
Guidance and landing pages — the pages about loneliness, breakup recovery, sleep, mood, journaling and diet — are written by hand by the Chugli team, drawing on common patterns we see and hear about from users, general knowledge, and the product’s own design goals. They are not generated by AI, and they are not derived from or built out of user conversations. Individual conversations are never published, quoted, or used as source material for any page on this site — the closest we come is publishing aggregate, anonymous facts about product usage as a whole (see “Why this exists” below).
Astrology and horoscope pages — the /rashifal pages are different: they are generated automatically, once a day, by a script that computes planetary transit positions (Lahiri ayanamsa, sidereal, via the Swiss Ephemeris) and assembles them into a reading using fixed templates. No person writes or reviews the specific text of a given day’s reading before it publishes. We say so explicitly on every one of those pages.
Two reasons, both true. First, we want people searching for things like “someone to talk to when I feel alone” or “can’t sleep, need to talk” to be able to find Chugli, and we think a genuine, useful answer to that search is worth publishing on its own terms — not just as a funnel toward a signup button.
Second, we think Chugli’s own experience with this is worth stating plainly, since it is the strongest evidence we have to offer. Since launch, Chugli has exchanged more than 60,000 messages across over 3,400 conversations with people working through loneliness, sleep, relationships and everyday stress. That is aggregate, anonymous usage data about the product — not a data set we mine or quote from to write pages (see “How it’s produced” above for that distinction). What we publish comes from building and running that product, not from summarizing what any one person told Chugli.
Chugli is an AI companion — for conversation, clarity and company. It is not a licensed therapist, doctor, dietitian or counsellor, and using it is not a substitute for professional care. If you are dealing with a serious mental health, medical or safety concern, please reach out to a qualified professional, or in an emergency contact your local emergency services.
